Danbury, Connecticut has once again been honored as "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Society. This is the 17th time Danbury has been awarded this honor.
Danbury was chosen for this award based on its community forestry program, its tree care ordinances, and its annual observance of Arbor Day. Danbury celebrates Arbor Day in late April, and this year held tree plantings at city parks and schools.
