These Olympics are Exhausting

I've been YAWN watching the Olympics for a YAWN week now...

I've been watching them until YAWN 1:00 am every night.  Or is that every morning?

They're YAWN exhausting!

Last night we stayed up to YAWN watch gymnastics.  Tonight, I'm glued to my TV watching YAWN the recap of the YAWN gymnastics I stayed up to watch last night.  This afternoon I caught myself watching archery.  Who watches archery?  Who knew archery was in the Olympics?

Yesterday I was with buyer clients and I couldn't stop YAWNING.  I had to apologize.  I told them they weren't boring me, I just haven't been getting enough YAWN sleep for the past week.

Fortunately, they were in the same boat and they were YAWNING, too.  They said they heard it referred to as the "Olympics Hangover."

One more YAWN week to go...

Don,

I wish the Olympics were in California or Hawaii this year so they would come on TV earlier here, as well. Not long before I fall asleep at my desk...

But it was so much fun watching Tancock and Beavers swim together last night!  I think Tancock chased Beavers the entire time... I don't remember who beat who because I was exhausted too, but I know neither actually won.

I know what you mean!  I last until about midnight, then miss who actually wins the gold and have to look it up online the next morning.  I might as well go to bed at a decent hour and look it up like I have been!

Manders Group:  I don't remember having them run so late before. But, then, I guess I may be saying that again in two years during the Winter Olympics...

Donna:  Sometimes we're not quite sure who won, either, even when we stay up and watch.  After midnight, things start to get fuzzy.  I feel so old.

Dianne:  Yes, we have to look things up in the mornings, too - even some that we tried to watch...

Beijing is a full 12 hours ahead of us here on the East Coast. It's hard keeping up, but the best part is waking up to see the overnight statistics.

Don,

I know. There should be a rule on which time zones the Olympics can be held in. :)

Ellie - We're too tired in the mornings to care...

Steve - that sounds like a good rule!

Konnie - If we weren't enjoying the Olympics, then we'd be enjoying sleep instead.

This is why I love my DVR! I record them, don't watch the depressing news and watch the Olympics commercial free and I can go to bed a normal hour! Plus, did you know that the fast past Ping Pong is even funnier in fast motion! The old TV show the "Munsters" had it right - FAST MOTION IS FUNNY!

Todd - We tried the DVR one night when we just couldn't stay up any longer.  We recorded the men's gymnastics all-around.  It just wasn't the same...

There's something to be said about watching the events live, or at least during the first broadcast.

Last night we stayed up to watch Michael Phelps, and then watch his interviews, and then watch the recap.  Again, we're tired!
