An Extra Hour of Sleep

I was so looking forward to an extra hour of sleep last night.
I even put my book down a little early and went to sleep at a respectable hour.

But, no one told my kids they were expected to sleep in for an extra hour this morning.  The dogs didn't realize this, either.

Oh, well.

Off to my Open House at Wishing Well Mews...

I still am perplexed at the whole ritual! We don't do this in AZ!!!!!  Hope you have a great Open House!

I grew up in AZ also and didnt do it for the first 20 years of my life, but since then Ive lived all over the country and have gotten used to it. Yes, I was also looking forward to sleeping, but just like you my 4 year old didnt understand the concept! Im up at 6:45 anyway! Good luck at your open house.

The cat was hungry this morning and wanted to eat.  The dog was not "so much."  Going out to breakfast after church and after putting up Open House signs.. the "usual" place was mobbed and more families with kids than usual. Same time, same place many Sunday mornings.   All were using that extra hour.

Hoepfully by next Sunday internal clocks will be reset.

Joeann - For some reason, I thought Arizona had started doing the Daylight Savings Time ritual like the rest of us.

Vincent - Glad I wasn't the only one who didn't get a little more sleep.

Kristen - I think it's the job of our kids to make sure we're always sleep deprived.  That way we may give in to their demands more easily...

Fran - at least you put the extra hour to good use!

Maureen - All those families with kids...you know those parents wanted and needed the extra hour of sleep, but at least they found a way to enjoy it with their kids, since their kids wouldn't let them enjoy slumbering!
